Special Show & Tell: Tartan Day

Tartan Day commemorates Scottish heritage and is celebrated in numerous countries with parades, pipes and drums, Scottish dancing, and the display of many tartans. Canada has its own tartan named the Maple Leaf tartan. Today, we present 3 tartans along with an interesting story.

I took this class with Laurie Wiles at TIGHR 2015. The plaid spells out TIGHR. By converting the alphabet into numbers and colours a pattern emerges. I gave a class to the Beaconsfield hookers on my return, for others to make their own unique Personal Plaid. About 10 ladies participated and it was in 2016.
