Our Annual General Meeting April 20, 2026 It has been a full and exciting year for us. It was our 50 th  year anniversary, marked with a vernissage followed by a 2-day rug exhibition showcasing over 250 of our rugs. To commemorate our special year, we made greeting cards featuring 28 of our rugs. We held a mug rug workshop for the public, enjoyed an in-house workshop led by Helen, and shared in memorable events that brought everyone together.  We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone for approving the financial statements and warmly welcoming our new Executive Committee, and our heartfelt appreciation to Emmy for her years of service a s an executive member. We wish her many happy hours of punching ahead! Thank you to all who help make our guild so great, who contribute to making our meetings interesting and fun, and who volunteer at events to showcase our art to the public. Our Annual General Meeting April 28, 2025 It has been a full and exciting year for us—with several workshops, two exhibitions in the Beaconsfield Library Discovery Room, and memorable events that brought everyone together. We are all gearing up for our upcoming 50-year celebration and rug exhibition, which promises to showcase as many of our rugs as possible. A special shoutout to everyone for approving the financial statements and welcoming our new Executive Committee. It was the perfect time to say thank you to all who help make our guild so great, who contribute to making our meetings interesting and fun, and who volunteer at events to showcase our art to the public. Annual General Meeting 2024    Our AGM was held May 6 with in-person attendance plus a few proxy votes reaching 67 % of our membership. The president’s report covered the year’s events which included our April 29th, 2023 Rug Exhibition, the presentation of our Centennial Tile rug to Mayor Bourelle and the City of Beaconsfield, our participation in the City’s annual St. Jean Baptiste Day celebration (in the Recreation Centre due to rain) and the September Artisans’ Fair. Our Outdoor Poster Exhibit created by the City was officially opened on July 22nd in Centennial Park and stayed up until the fall. In September Dawna started Beginners’ classes of 6 students who all became new members. In early January M. organized a 3-day workshop called “Tiny Treasures” given by Sara Judith. Throughout the year, we enjoyed many events: our annual picnic, paper bag auctions, Sell or Swap, International Rug Hooking Day, and numerous themed hook-ins. There was never a dull moment! AGM 2023    April 24th, 2023 Our AGM was held April 24 with in-person attendance reaching 60 percent of our membership. The president’s report covered the year’s events: The Culture and Inclusion workshops, the Artisan’s Fair, funds raised for several charities, International Rug Hooking Day celebrated with the Martintown Wild and Woollys, acclamation of our webmaster and 15 years on the web, planning for our Rug Exhibition, and the workshops and celebrations we shared together. It was a full year! The Treasurer’s and Librarian’s reports were presented, and the election of the executive was held. All motions passed. The executive committee remains the same as last year. New Executive committee    AGM / May 2th, 2022 Yesterday, during our in-person Hook-In at Centennial, we announced the results of our first on-line AGM. Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters Guild - Annual General Meeting  Rose Kandy The Annual General Meeting was held on April 28, 2014 in Centennial Hall.  Twenty-four members were in attendance. Co-presidents Ti Seymour and Riitta Jackson chaired the meeting. They reviewed a list of 12 events, which took place or are ongoing. The Treasurer, Jacquie Bouchard, presented the financial report and proposed budget for the upcoming year which was approved by the members present.  Denise Morissette our Librarian reported that she is reviewing our books, magazines and dyes and recommended some new purchases of books and DVDs. The following members were elected  or re-elected unanimously to the new Executive: President: Ti Seymour, Vice-President: Linda Henderson, Treasurer: Jackie Bouchard and Secretary: Dawna Matthew. Annual General Meeting at BHCG On April 29, 2013, the Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters Guild held its Annual General Meeting at Centennial Hall. With a majority of members in attendance, we are pleased to announce that the following members have been elected to the Executive Committee: Riita Jackson and Ti Seymour as Co-Presidents, Denise Morissette as Vice-President, Pat Strike as Secretary and Jacqueline Bouchard as Treasurer. The new executive took up their respective duties immediately following the meeting. We wish them well for the coming year and thank them their willingness to manage the Guild for its members. BHCG - Annual General Meeting - Spring 2012    Saturday morning, April 21, 2012, the Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters Guild held its Annual General Meeting at Centennial Hall. There being a quorum present, the following members were elected by acclamation to the Executive: Louise G. de Tonnancour, President, Denise Morrissette, Vice-President, June Weisbord, Treasurer and Denise Vandenbemden, Secretary.
