Monday 15th December 2014 Xmas Luncheon 2014_ By Ti Seymour A jolly time was had by all who attended the Annual Festive Hook-in. Tables were lined with Crackers and Ferns. Festive Music was played throughout the morning, though probably not heard as the Auction got underway. Beautiful turned bases made by the West Island Woodturners were auctioned along with rug yarn and an unfinished birch rug. The raffle table and sale table were full, everyone left with something. BHCG’s Last Hook-In of 2013_ By Denise Vandenbemden December 16, 2013 started bright and sunny, the snow sparkled like a millions diamonds on our way to the last hooking session of the year. In Centennial Hall we were welcomed by a jolly Christmas ambiance. Our co-presidents, Riita and Ti, wore Santa Claus hats and, along with the other committee members, were busy setting tables with items being sold by members, wool and hooking supplies for an auction and items for a raffle that were also donated by members. Christmas music and the scent of fresh brewed coffee along with a kitchen counter loaded with savories and sweets put everyone immediately into a festive mood. 2014 will be the year of preparation for the 40th anniversary of our Guild in 2015 and the piggy bank has to be supplemented to cover the cost of those festivities. Kick-Off Luncheon On Saturday, January 19th, ten Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters attended the 2013 Kick-Off Luncheon at the Elixor Restaurant on the West Island of Montreal. A most enjoyable event where all had time to meet informally and exchange on many subjects.

Winter Kickoff Luncheon_    par Kay Cousineau    2012 Luncheon - Left to right: Linda Henderson and Louise G. de Tonnancour On Saturday January 21 st , members put aside their hooking to enjoy a delicious winter luncheon. Then, our very innovative convener, Linda H., who previously had had everyone submit humorous personal anecdotes, tidbits or facts from their past, collated this information on sheets of paper which she circulated to members. The game was to match the member to the anecdote. Of course, this contest gave rise to a great deal of laughter. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
