Hudson Craft Fair

Hudson Christmas Craft Fair_ Again this year, Jacques and Isabelle, members of the Beaconsfield guild, participated in the Hudson Christmas Craft Fair. This event is for vendors who create their own products by hand.  Isabelle Rollin and Jacques Lepage - We try to offer new things every year. Adding on to past themes of "Birds and Wildlife in the region" and "Quebec Houses and Barns", this year I painted "Children out in the snow" on my wooden ornaments" , says Isabelle Rollin. 2019 Christmas Craft Fair Invitation Members of our guild have come to encourage the artisans, and donate to the Nichoir, by having a bite to eat at their fundraiser "Bistro" to help injured birds. What a nice Xmas gift. The atmosphere is most festive and friendly.

Remembrance Day_ November 11, 2019 - Canada   By Rose Kandy Remembrance Day This year we remember the Commonwealth  of Nations War Dead (mainly past British Commonwealth members). Remembrance Day November 11, 2019 commemorates the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany at Compiegne, France for the cessation  of hostilities on the Western Front which took effect at 11 AM, the eleventh  hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. This year Remembrance Day is not mentioning individuals but rather a Commemoration of war dead observed by  Commonwealth Nations. The National War Memorial will be commemorating 53 member states. united through shared values, history, culture and languages. This year  we commemorate members of the Commonwealth of Nations, almost all former British colonies or dependent of British colonies. Wearing a red poppy reminds us to reflect on the sacrifices of our Canadian Armed Forces.

Buritts Rapids By Isabelle and Jacques What a great day we had in Buritts Rapids. The weather was terrible, but the welcome and the smiles were so warm and sunny. The village is superb, and what a "cachet " this building has. Jacques and I were vending our handmade wooden rug hooking items, and also some of my patterns.  Congratulations to the Burritts Rapids Boots & Baskets Guild who are celebrating their 40th year this fall!
