Xmas Hook-In _ By Dawna Matthew

Thank you everyone for a wonderful holiday get together! The gifts were lovely and the food, as always, delicious! And the singing ...simply stunning!!!! I know a few of you couldn’t make it as you were “under the weather”,  wishing you all speedy recoveries! Happy, safe holidays and see you, possibly next Saturday, Dec 15, at Tricolette or  January 7th!

International Hook-In Day

Area 1 International Rug Hooking Day _ By Ti Seymour

Martintown Wild & Woolly and Beaconsfield hosted an Area 1 Hook-in for International Rug Hooking Day, for the 3rd year running, at St Mary’s Community Centre.  85 people attended and enjoyed a fabulous variety of wonderful vendors, raffles galore and some delicious home cooking.  A talk was offered by Ti Seymour regarding the Barachois Church Project - to which 7 people signed up to make cushions for this wonderful community outreach event and a talk about The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers, the next Triennial will be hosted in 2021 at St John, Newfoundland.
