International Hook-In Day

Area 1 International Rug Hooking Day _

By Ti Seymour

Martintown Wild & Woolly and Beaconsfield hosted an Area 1 Hook-in for International Rug Hooking Day, for the 3rd year running, at St Mary’s Community Centre.  85 people attended and enjoyed a fabulous variety of wonderful vendors, raffles galore and some delicious home cooking.  A talk was offered by Ti Seymour regarding the Barachois Church Project - to which 7 people signed up to make cushions for this wonderful community outreach event and a talk about The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers, the next Triennial will be hosted in 2021 in St. John's, Newfoundland.
