See Post: I love my students! http://theruggedmoose.blogspot.ca/2017/11/i-love-my-students.html Doodle Bag - Claire Fradette Special Show & Tell_ Doodle Bag Hooked By Claire Fradette My little doodle bag is the result of a class I took in Ancaster, Ontario, given by Wendie Scott Davis. It was hooked with our stash of wool strips left over from other projects. Without the use of a pattern, we were given free rein and encouraged to “doodle”. My little bag is the perfect bag for my tablet.

Remembrance Day 2017

Image
November 11th, 2017 100th anniversaries of The Battle of Vimy Ridge and the Battle of Passchendaele  (also known as the 3rd Battle of Ypres) 2017 also commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid Poppies, Hooked By Betty Austin In Flanders Fields  by John McCrae In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row That mark our place; and in the sky The larks. still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below We are the dead. Short days ago, We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow. Loved and were loved and now we lie In Flanders fields Take up your quarrel with the foe: To you, from falling hands, we throw The torch; be yours to hold high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow  In Flanders fields
