Show and Tell – The Gift of Today

July to September 2026

Sometimes we are so busy thinking about yesterday or worrying about tomorrow that we forget to enjoy today. Debbie Séguin has shown us that today is a gift, and we can make the most of every moment through kindness, thoughtfulness, and spreading joy to those around us.

Here is a collection of Debbie’s rugs which were still to be highlighted in our Show and Tell section.

Rest in peace, our dear Debbie.

Live, Love, Laugh

27 in x 55 in

Original

on linen

Whipped edging

Hooked with #6 cuts of new and recycled wool

“This is an original design. My eldest sister died suddenly in September 2015. She had the words Live, Love, Laugh on her tombstone. She lived by these words. It was very comforting at the time to hook this rug, rhythmic pulling of the wool, just thinking of Jo-anne as I hooked. ”

“Feeling very proud to be Canadian, this, for the flag, I traced a magnet intended for the car! I wanted to have the maple leaf done well; I’m pleased with the outcome.”

“Deanne Fitzpatrick offered a Mystery Art Project in 2023. It included a stamped 8x8 linen with the wool included and a video with her instructions. Each month was a surprise.
