Decembre 4th

International Rug Hooking Day Event

On December 4, our Guild hosted the annual International Rug Hooking Day event in South Lancaster, ON. The Saint Andrew’s Church Hall buzzed with excitement as people gathered from 6 different rug hooking groups from Quebec and eastern Ontario. One room was filled with cheerful sellers, their tables adorned with handmade crafts and vibrant rug hooking supplies. Another room displayed the paper bag auction items.

As the day unfolded, everyone’s anticipation grew as door prizes were handed out, followed by a pizza lunch. The snack and dessert tables were fabulous! The many winners of the paper bag auction were announced, followed by the raffling of three fabulous gifts, each one met with cheers and applause from the crowd. The day concluded with the 50/50 winner. The event was filled with warmth, creativity, and the joy of coming together—truly a celebration to remember.
