Mug Rug Workshop 

Introduction to Rug Hooking

Beaconsfield Library / Discovery Room

The City of Beaconsfield invited us to hold a workshop in the Discovery Room of the Library, and we were delighted to accept the opportunity. 

We prepared mug rug kits for each participant, drawing simple patterns on burlap stretched and stapled over wooden hoops (sold for making wreaths). We included adequate wool strips, size 6 cut, in assorted colours plus bilingual instructions and a hook.

We had a great turn-out for the workshop.

At the end of the 2-hour workshop, we announced the winner of our door prize, a colourful mug with matching mug rug!
