On Monday, December 4th, we got together with our friends, The Martintown Wild and Woollies, and hosted International Rug Hooking Day at the St Mary’s Community in Williamstown, Ontario. What a wonderful day! We had 62 rug hookers attend with representatives from the following groups:

  • Martintown Wild & Woolies

Plus 3 vendors:

  1. Loretta Moore of Hooked on the Lake, with her rug hooking and needle punch supplies
  2. Mitch from the Millinery at Cornerstone Farm, with his beautiful hand dyed yarn
  3. The family from TreeHouse Creations, with the wonderful wooden decorations

A hand quilted bed cover had been donated to the guild and it was raffled, raising over 100$, which was donated to the community centre.  There were door prizes, delicious soups and yummy desserts enjoyed by all.

It was a truly rewarding day to see so many out sharing, renewing old friendships, making new ones and simply hooking together in one big group! Thanks to everyone who helped and participated.
