Rug Hooking Demonstration and Workshop
By Dawna Matthew
On Saturday, September 24 the guild was invited to participate in Arts Alive! Quebec. This event was held at John Rennie High School in Pointe Claire. We manned a booth, with samples of our work on display and several members demonstrated as they worked on their pieces. We also invited visitors to sign up for a two day introductory workshop being offered at Le Coin Artisanal in Beaurepaire Village on October 8 & 22. We held a mini workshop on site. Participants were thrilled to produce and leave with a framed sunflower which combined hooking and proddy techniques. You can see from the smile on their faces that it was a big success!
