An amazing Success
By Dawna Matthew
This year’s annual picnic on Saturday, May 27th, was an amazing success. We had representatives from 8 different guilds, with 76 people in total attendance. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the sunshine on the lovely grounds of Centennial Hall overlooking the beautiful St Lawrence River. Judith Dallegret was there with her wonderful wool selection, Linda Desbiens of L’Art des Fibres par Linda D, tempted us with her sari silks and rovings, Lucy of Lucy’s Boutique in Ste. Anne de Bellevue had a wide selection of her stylish clothing and delicious bagels from Jo of St. Jean Bagel were available to satisfy any hunger cravings.
It was so nice to see everyone mingling, meeting up with old friends plus forming new relationships, sharing ideas, and encouraging each other.
The day would not have been possible without the help of all those who so willingly threw in their support and that includes not only guild members but spouses and children! Plus a big “thank you” to all who hit the road and travelled to Beaconsfield on a sunny Saturday!
Here you have a few pictures.

Many thanks to Jo from St Jean Bagel who donated 60 bagels so we could provide a complementary bagel breakfast. Plus he sold us dozens at half price so the Guild could raise some funds on the day.
