Members of BHCG will be rug hooking with the Grade 6 children from Sherwood Forest Elementary School in celebration of their Rug which has been displayed at 2 exhibitions (BHCG's 40th Anniversary Exhibition Sept 2015 and TIGHR, Victoria Oct 2015).
Backing has been mounted on ready to hang picture frames for the children to hook on. The inspiration is:
The children will hook an initial in bubble font with a selection of precut brightly coloured wool. This piece is for them to take home for themselves or to gift this holiday season.
A video will be taken of this event to document the number of children taking part in the hope they can set a world record according to the Guinness World Records - an exciting achievement for any child to appear in this popular book. An application has been submitted to GWR and it is our intent to follow through with an organized event in the future.
